Before I begin to dwell on what I believe to be the number 1 quality – I think it is important for each one of us to define our successes. My definition of success may be entirely different than yours. Success to me may look like becoming a Giant squid, or winning the LOTD or making $500 a month. To someone else, success may be creating 10 lenses on their passion. So its important for each one of you to know what you are aiming for. Without an aim, you would be directionless and keep on flipping from one site to the other.

The success that I am referring to in this blog post is about financial success. This is about making atleast $200-$300 dollars a month. This may not be a lot of sum to many folks but in some countries, that’s a job replacing income. The key quality that I would like to take about here is “Persistence”.

Success eventually comes to those who hang on when everyone else believes that all is lost. If you want to make good money on Squidoo, the key is keep building lenses. You need to have atleast 50-100 lenses before you can see a sizeable income. I know this takes time. It takes effort and it takes a whole lot of patience.

It’s excruciating to see those 60 cents sitting in your reserve hopper after having built 20 odd lenses. It is in such times when you wonder whether it was all worth it. For all you know you may be having your lenses sitting on pages 2 and 3 on Google waiting for those few extra link building efforts that would nudge them to the front page rankings and rake in those heaps of traffic you were longing for.

If you would give up at this moment, you would never realize how close you were to success. It may just be a matter of writing that one extra article, that one extra social bookmarking submission, that one extra forum posting. You’ve got to finish your last lap if you want to savour victory. Squidoo teaches you just that lesson of life. So hang on – “Persist” and I am sure that you will find success on Squidoo.
